Sponsorship & Fundraising Officers
Job Overview
The Sponsorship & Fundraising team will help in the raising of money for the Association by looking for opportunities to reach and attract potential supporters, high-value donors, companies, trusts and governing bodies.
Reports to: Chair and Trustees
Term: 3 years (reviewed after 1 year)
Position: Voluntary
Responsibilities and Duties
- Help develop a fundraising strategy for the Association and identify new ways to acquire funding.
- Help prepare submissions and supporting material relating to grant applications and sponsorship.
- Help with the collection of all monies raised and the arrangement of payment.
- Maintain appropriate fundraising/sponsorship records as required by the Associations’ Treasurer.
Essential Criteria
- In a surgical specialty as defined by the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK.
Desirable Criteria – Head Officer
- On the GMC specialist register (doctors who are eligible to take up appointment in any fixed term, honorary or substantive consultant post in the NHS).
- Experience in fundraising – but not essential.
Desirable Criteria – Assistant Officer
- Experience in fundraising – but not essential.
